Hope 4 Communities awarded $26,500 grant from the Bishop-Parker Foundation to Support their project Expand Manatee to further their reach in Manatee County.
A generous grant to support Hope 4 Communities Expand Manatee program was provided by the Bishop-Parker Foundation. The purpose of Project Expand Manatee will be to recruit, build, and train new churches and partners in Manatee County. As an organization, partnered with the School District of Manatee County, we have a goal to ensure we serve the top ten Title 1 schools in Manatee County. Hope 4 Communities expanded into Manatee in 2013 after serving Sarasota County for five years prior. In 2024 we served 630 students in Manatee. We plan to double that number in 2025, and triple that number by 2026.
Hope 4 Communities is excited to join the Manatee Chamber of Commerce to help bring those goals to life. We will be hosting an information luncheon February 27th at 12pm for pastors, nonprofit leaders and other community partners who would like to learn about our programs and how they can partner with us. Email [email protected] for more details.
About Hope 4 Communities: We ensure that all children in need are prepared for school by initiating Day 4 Hope and coaching faith-based organizations to develop lasting, meaningful relationships with children and families. Our Day 4 Hope program provides homeless and disadvantaged children with a back-to-school event on a local church campus. Each child receives a medical exam, dental exam/cleaning and floss treatment, eye exam, haircut, school and family portrait, new backpack filled with all the needed school supplies, a care bag of personal care items, gift cards for new clothes/uniforms and shoes, and meals throughout the day.
