INVADENTUCKY: A Bradentucky Bombers Roller Derby Tournament Hits Bradenton The Weekend

Tournament to be Held May 3-4 at the Ellenton Ice & Sports Complex

Bradenton, FL – April 29 – The Bradentucky Bombers are thrilled to announce the return of INVADENTUCKY, their second annual Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) sanctioned roller derby tournament, taking place May 3-4 at the Ellenton Ice & Sports Complex (5309 29th St E. Ellenton, FL 34222). This high-energy, round-robin invitational will feature four teams battling it out over two days of competition, ending with an open-gender scrimmage.

The competing teams are Orlando Roller Derby Ozone Slayers, Tragic City Rollers All Stars, Appalachian Roller Derby All Stars, and the host Bradentucky Bombers Bomb Squad. Day passes are available for both Saturday and Sunday and are donation-based. The recommended donation is $10; all funds will go toward directly paying for the tournament. Tickets can be purchased in advance through EventBrite. Bouts will also be streamed on the Bradentucky Bombers’ YouTube channel during the tournament weekend.

2:30 PM – Open Gender Star Wars-Themed Scrimmage: Rebel Alliance Jedis vs. Dark Side Siths

The weekend culminates in an open-gender, Star Wars-themed scrimmage on Sunday afternoon, where skaters of all levels and identities are invited to join the Rebel Alliance or the Dark Side. Participation is free, and sign-ups are open now. All participants must be insured by WFTDA.
