Bradenton Runners Club donates Turkey Trot proceeds to two local non-profits
BRADENTON, Fla. — The Bradenton Runners Club (BRC), a group established in 1989 to promote a healthy and enjoyable lifestyle through the sports of running and walking, donated proceeds from its 27th annual Turkey Trot to two local nonprofits today.
The donations were presented to The Food Bank of Manatee and Turning Points on Thursday morning in the amounts of $7,500 and $6,200, respectively.
“We are thrilled to have surpassed our 2023 donations by a substantial amount to support two important organizations in our community and we are extremely thankful to all of our supporters and sponsors,” said Bob Lathrop, vice president of the club.
Coastal Orthopedics is the official orthopedic partner for the Bradenton Runners Club and was this year’s presenting bib sponsor for its 27th annual Turkey Trot event, held on November 27 at the Robinson Preserve.
