Inspiring Champions: Empowering Youth Together

Bradenton, FL – March 28, 2025 – In a powerful initiative, the Bradenton Kiwanis, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County are collaborating to support students in need of mentorship. This partnership aims to inspire and uplift the youth of Manatee County, ensuring every child has a champion.

These nonprofit organizations are rallying support from community agencies to provide essential assistance in local schools. Volunteers can make a lasting impact by mentoring at four locations: Oneco Elementary, Daughtry Elementary, Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County – Palmetto Club, and Boys & Girls Clubs – DeSoto Club.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast excels in creating one-on-one mentoring relationships for children ages six through young adulthood. This partnership amplifies the reach of transformative mentorship, offering a safe and nurturing environment for students to excel academically, socially, and emotionally.

“There is little that has made the impact on me as much as BBBS has through the opportunity afforded to me by being a Big for my Little. As much as BBBS is built to cultivate these opportunities to shape the lives of our Littles, I can assure you that the fulfilment and shaping of my life has been just as impactful through my Little Brother.” Brad Anderson – President BNI, Circle of Success.

“Now more than ever, Manatee County students require mentors who believe in their potential,” asserts Jennifer Fritch, Director of Community Development at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast. “Alongside Bradenton Kiwanis and the Boys & Girls Clubs, we are paving the way for caring adults to rise and become champions for our youth.”

The impact of mentorship is undeniable—students with mentors are more likely to stay in school and make positive life choices. We provide flexible commitments, comprehensive training, and immeasurable rewards.
