Island Gallery and Studio

Island Gallery and Studios proudly presents our Featured Artist for November —  Painter, Gary Green

Theme: From Watercolors to Pixels: My Art Evolution

Gary is an artist who is continually searching for just the right attention-grabbing subject. His creative palette includes watercolors, oils, acrylics and digital painting and likes to experiment with how different mediums can enhance a subject.

Gary received formal art training from Columbus College of Art & Design and began his career as a conceptual artist at an advertising agency in Columbus, Ohio.

Gary has been living in Florida for over a decade, where he finds a great artistic atmosphere with endless new visual subjects and environments. He creates his art in a realistic style, capturing life’s moments, including figures, landscapes and still life compositions.  A specialty of his is creating original automotive fine art on his digital canvas.

In addition, Gary is part of several art societies and exhibits his work in National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society, Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society, Florida Watercolor Society and other regional juried art exhibitions.

You are invited to join us and meet Gary on our 1st Friday of the Month Art Walk and Reception, November 1 from 5 pm to 7:30 pm. Bring your friends and mingle with our artists while taking in the fine art work of our gallery.  Beverages and small bites are offered. Gary will also be available at the gallery to discuss his art on Friday, November 29 from 10 am to 5 pm.
