Whole Health celebrates Her Health Gynecology and Whole Health Pediatrics with ribbon-cutting ceremony

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. — Last week, Whole Health, a holistic and integrative clinic in Lakewood Ranch, celebrated the opening of a new shared office space for its partner practices, Her Health Gynecology and Whole Health Pediatrics.

Whole Health, the collaborating partner with Her Health Gynecology and Whole Health Pediatrics, was founded by Dr. Kinga Porter in 2017 with one goal in mind — giving patients the health care they deserve.

Located at 6600 University Parkway in suite 305 at the Center Point Medical Building, the 2,122-square-foot facility houses the two new practices, offering direct services to patients without the constraints health insurance typically impose.

Focused on delivering the highest quality health care and best customer service possible, Her Health Gynecology and Whole Health Pediatrics works directly with patients, rather than through insurance companies. This allows the patient and doctor to decide together on the best course of treatment for their unique needs and allows them to spend as much time with each patient as needed to meet their needs and care.

In the new space, both practices have two dedicated exam rooms, as well as a shared laboratory space, are equipped to do minor in-office procedures, dispense common medications they prescribe for increased patient convenience and offer high quality nutritional supplements to support their patients’ whole health.

Whole Health Pediatrics began operations in March 2024 out of the Whole Health office, and Her Health Gynecology is a new practice as of January 2025. Dr. Porter and her business partner, Kim Borsheim, are partners in both new practices.

Whole Health Pediatrics is founded by Dr. Melinda Hierholzer, a board-certified pediatrician with over a decade of experience and a deep commitment to exceptional pediatric care. She values building strong relationships with families, working together to make thoughtful decisions for their child’s health. By combining traditional medicine with holistic approaches and incorporating lifestyle medicine principles, she empowers families to promote their child’s well-being and thrive at every stage of life.

Her Health Gynecology is founded by Dr. Eden Yelverton, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist that believes in empowering women to find freedom in their health, whether that means creating a safe space to discuss concerns or developing a personalized strategy to manage a health challenge. She has a passion for the female body and finds joy in educating and guiding women through different life stages, addressing their unique needs with compassion and expertise.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday, Jan. 28 to commemorate the occasion. More than 50 guests were in attendance, including members of the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance, patients and prospective patients, as well as physicians and colleagues from the medical community.
