About Us :: Women Contemporary Artists (WCA) is an established organization of women in the visual arts based in Florida’s Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Our mission is to provide visibility, support and inspiration to women artists.
Our History :: In 1984 twenty women artists in the region developed a plan to form a group to encourage other women artists in their artistic journeys. They also felt that it was important to recognize, promote and support the contributions that women have made and continue to make in the visual fine arts. In 1999 changed its name to Women Contemporary Artists. This talented group of women artists has continually grown each year and now has more than 150 regional members.
Overview :: Visit womencontemporaryartists.com to learn more about the organization and view galleries of the members. WCA welcomes women artists in the community with all levels of experience.
