Sandy
Sandy, formerly Bubbles, was a homeless dog living near the beach. She had been running from people trying to help her for over a month. A woman finally found her hiding under a
lawn chair in her yard. She brought the 1-year-old Terrier mix to the shelter and waited to see if she’d be claimed. After her hold was over without an owner coming forward, she was
spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and waited to be adopted by the kind woman who found her. Pet finders frequently find themselves falling in love with the pets they’ve helped.
Happy endings do happen; now, Bubbles is enjoying beach life again, but this time, from the comforts of a forever home with a new mom who saved her! All pets adopted from MCAS are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. See all adoptable pets and make your appointment to visit at mymanatee.org/pets
