Service Club of Manatee County, Inc. Receives $50,000 from Paul Medici Legacy Fund

The Service Club of Manatee County, Inc., is deeply honored to announce a $50,000 legacy gift has been received from the family of Paul Medici. A portion of this gift will be distributed to the needy children in Manatee County through the 2025 Grants Program. The remaining portion has been placed into the Endowment Fund for the purpose of providing funding to needy Manatee County children in perpetuity.

The Medici family released this statement: The family of Paul Medici has chosen Service Club of Manatee County, Inc., as the beneficiary of this donation to honor his lifelong love of helping children. Paul, a resident of Manatee County, passed away in 2019. As a timeless advocate for children, he was driven to make sure their needs would be met and they be given a chance for a meaningful future. His family is honored to have his kindness and generosity live on through the mission of Service Club of Manatee County: “FOR THE LOVE OF CHILDREN.”

About the Service Club of Manatee County, Inc. The Service Club of Manatee County Inc. was founded in 1927 by a group of charitable women to provide lunches for hungry children at Ballard Elementary School. The Service Club is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization which supports children who reside in Manatee County by raising and distributing funding to those in need of food, shelter, clothing, health or educational services. Nearly $3.0 million in grants have been awarded to nonprofit organizations since 1979 when documentation began.
