“Summer is a time for kids to play and grow – not worry about where their next meal will come from,” said Maribeth Phillips, President & CEO of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee. “As food insecurity continues to rise in Manatee County, our goal is to get critical nutrition to families, especially those living in high-need areas of our community,” she added.
Food4Families is provided free of charge to families in need. The food is purchased with donated funds, sorted, and distributed by The Food Bank of Manatee, a PLUS program of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee. Those interested in supporting the program can make donations online at http://www.MealsOnWheelsPLUS.org/donate or by mail to 811 23rd Ave. East, Bradenton, FL 34208.
