The Salvation Army of Manatee County will observe National Salvation Army Week, May 11–17, 2026, with a series of events recognizing the people and partnerships that help serve neighbors across the community.

Observed nationwide, National Salvation Army Week highlights more than 154 years of service by The Salvation Army and honors the local volunteers, donors, staff, corporate partners, and families who support programs benefiting individuals and families in need throughout Manatee County.

“At its heart, The Salvation Army is about community,” said Major Thomas Richmond, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army in Manatee County. “Everything we do—from feeding families to mentoring youth—is made possible because this community chooses compassion.
