Lakewood Ranch Wind Ensemble Receives $2,500 Grant To Strengthen Growth and Sustainability
The Lakewood Ranch Wind Ensemble (LWRWE) has been awarded a
$2,500 grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to strengthen its fundraising and development efforts.
The funding will support professional consulting services to refine LWRWE’s development strategy, deepen donor engagement, and expand its capacity to secure additional grants. As a growing nonprofit arts organization, the ensemble is investing in the infrastructure needed to sustain and broaden its programming for the community.
Funding for this initiative is provided in part by the Community Foundation’s Walter Haskins Fund, in memory of Stacey K. Haskins.
The Lakewood Ranch Wind Ensemble is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to presenting high-quality symphonic wind music at a professional level. As the only large ensemble of its kind based in Lakewood Ranch, LWRWE serves a growing audience through a regular concert season and community performances.
“This grant represents an important milestone for our organization,” said Joe Martinez, music director and conductor. “It strengthens our ability to grow strategically and continue providing meaningful musical experiences for our community.”
By investing in development capacity, LWRWE is positioning itself for long-term sustainability while expanding its reach and impact within the region.
