Cancel the Chill Night at Home; There’s Roller Derby Happening May 9
Skip the usual Saturday night plans and step into something a little louder. The Bradentucky Bombers return to the track on Saturday, May 9 at 5:00 p.m. to take on the SoFlo Roller Derby at the Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex.
Whether you’re planning a night out with friends, bringing the family, or just looking to experience something new, roller derby delivers a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that is equal parts sport, spectacle, and community. Expect fast-paced jams, big hits, and a crowd that’s just as lively as the action on the track.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the first whistle blows at 5:00 p.m. Advance tickets are available on Eventbrite for $10 (plus fees), while tickets at the door will be $15. Children ages six and under can attend for free; ages 7-12 are $10. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to mingle with Manatee Children’s Services, the charity partner for this bout.
Attendees can enjoy ample bleacher seating, but for those seeking an up-close experience, bringing a personal chair is encouraged. The Bradentucky Bombers kindly remind guests to ensure beach chairs are free of sand before entering the venue. For more information, visit www.bradentuckybombers.com/
The Bradentucky Bombers are a member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). WFTDA is the international governing body for the sport of women’s flat track roller derby.
