From New Beginnings to Business Growth: Alex and Ella Deryavko Celebrate Two Years Leading LyteWorks
In just two years, LyteWorks has evolved from a local lighting showroom into a growing design resource serving builders, designers, and homeowners well beyond Florida’s Gulf Coast. Under the leadership of owners Alex and Ella Deryavko, the Bradenton-based company is marking a milestone anniversary while expanding its reputation for relationship-driven service and thoughtful lighting design.
Over the past two years, the showroom has expanded its relationships with builders and designers while supporting a growing number of residential and renovation projects throughout Florida.
Located in Bradenton, LyteWorks specializes in decorative lighting, ceiling fans, and professional lighting design consultation. The showroom partners with homeowners, builders, architects, and interior designers on projects ranging from custom homes to large renovations and commercial developments.
For owner Alex Deryavko, the milestone is also a personal one.
From New Beginnings to Business Ownership
Originally from Eastern Europe, Alex Deryavko immigrated to the United States in pursuit of opportunity and the chance to build a future through hard work and entrepreneurship.
Two years ago, Alex and his wife Ella relocated to Florida from Washington state. While living in Washington, Alex was involved in the construction industry, where he developed a strong understanding of the building process and the importance of collaboration between contractors, designers, and suppliers.
Shortly after arriving on Florida’s Gulf Coast, the couple saw an opportunity to take ownership of LyteWorks and build upon the showroom’s established reputation.
That experience helped shape a philosophy that continues to guide LyteWorks today: relationships come first.
“Builders and designers need partners who understand the realities of construction timelines and the details that bring a project together,” said Deryavko. “Our goal is to be a trusted resource that helps make the entire process smoother for everyone involved.”
When the opportunity arose to purchase LyteWorks, Alex saw more than a retail showroom—he saw the potential to build a collaborative design partner for the region’s growing construction and design community.
A Family Business Focused on Relationships
Alex and his wife Ella purchased LyteWorks intending to expand its role beyond a traditional lighting store and into a full design resource for building professionals and homeowners.
Over the past two years, the couple has focused on strengthening partnerships with builders, architects, and interior designers while enhancing the showroom’s design consultation services.
“Alex had a clear vision for what LyteWorks could become,” said Ella Deryavko, co-owner of LyteWorks. “We wanted to create a place where people could not only find beautiful lighting but also receive guidance and expertise throughout the design process.”
That relationship-driven model has helped LyteWorks collaborate on projects throughout Florida and increasingly across the United States.
Lighting the Future of Design
Lighting is one of the most influential yet often overlooked elements of architectural design. The LyteWorks team works closely with clients to create lighting plans that balance aesthetics, functionality, and energy efficiency.
“Lighting can transform how a home or space feels,” Alex said. “We love being part of the process that helps clients turn an idea into something tangible.”
As LyteWorks enters its next phase of growth, Alex and Ella remain focused on expanding relationships with builders, designers, and homeowners while continuing to elevate the showroom’s design expertise. With Florida’s Gulf Coast experiencing continued construction and renovation activity, the couple sees significant opportunity to grow LyteWorks as a trusted lighting partner for projects both locally and nationwide.
