Compass Hotel by Margaritaville Anna Maria Sound Raised $7,525 in Support of Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare for Jimmy Buffett Day
Compass Hotel Anna Maria Sound, a boutique hotel by the Margaritaville brand in Manatee County, announced today that it has raised $7,525 in support of Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the county’s shelter system by raising funds for medical care, resources, and enrichment for shelter animals, during Jimmy Buffett Day of service in August 2025.
The funds were generated through a variety of events and specials, including the Jewelry to the Rescue event, raffle ticket sales to win a complimentary hotel stay, dining credit and sailing experience, guest check roundups, and the sale of curated signature cocktails at both Compass Bar & Chill and Floridays Woodfire Grill & Bar. Additional donations of pet food and supplies were collected, which brought together hotel guests, community members, and local partners in support of
the organization.

This donation will make a meaningful impact for the animals who rely on the local community’s support. Support from partners like Compass Hotel helps ensure more animals receive the
care they deserve.”
The contribution will help provide meals and comfort, emergency medical care, heartworm treatment, and transport fees for pets seeking forever homes, directly benefiting shelter pets throughout Manatee County.
This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment to honoring Jimmy Buffett’s legacy and the way he lived his life through community service and support for organizations making a positive impact, including Singing For A Change and others.
