Grants Support Scholarships for SCF Summer STEAM Camps

The State College of Florida Foundation has received grants from five local  charitable organizations to provide need-based scholarships for SCF Summer Enrichment STEAM Camps, helping ensure  K-8 students can participate regardless of financial circumstances.

Funding was provided by:

  • Bank of America Client Foundation
  • Lakewood Ranch Community Foundation
  • Cowles Charitable Trust
  • India Benton Lesser Foundation
  • Annette J. Hagens Memorial Foundation

The scholarships will support students attending SCF’s 2026 Summer Enrichment STEAM Camps at SCF  Bradenton, SCF Venice and SCF Lakewood Ranch. Camps are offered in weekly sessions with full-day and  half-day options for students in grades K-8.

Camp activities focus on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics while encouraging creativity,  teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills in a supportive learning environment.

“We are sincerely grateful to our foundation partners for investing in the youth of our community,” said Lori  Tomlinson, director of grants and scholarships for the State College of Florida Foundation. “This funding  expands access to hands-on learning opportunities that inspire curiosity, build confidence and help students  prepare for future academic success.”

Registration for the 2026 Summer Enrichment STEAM Camps is open, and scholarship applications will be  accepted while funding remains available. For more information about STEAM camps, scholarship eligibility or  other youth programs, visit LearnEd.SCF.edu/courses/youth
