Harbor58 Announces Inaugural Pickleball Tournament: Play for Fun, Play for a Cause
Community members, pickleball players, and local businesses invited to rally together to support young adults aging out of foster care.
Harbor58 is excited to announce its first-ever Pickleball Tournament, taking place Saturday, January 30, 2027, from 1:00–9:00 p.m. at The Pickleball Club at Lakewood Ranch, located at 1300 Sarasota Center Boulevard in Sarasota, Florida.
With the motto “Play for Fun, Play for a Cause,” this exciting community event will bring together pickleball enthusiasts, local businesses, and supporters for an afternoon and evening of friendly competition, connection, and purpose. Whether you’re a seasoned player or simply love supporting a great cause, this tournament is an opportunity to get involved and make a difference.
The tournament will feature women’s, men’s, and mixed doubles divisions, with skill levels of 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+. Every entry includes a guarantee of three games, with T-shirts available for early registrants, medals, raffles, food, and more.
Proceeds from the tournament will support Harbor58’s general operating expenses, helping sustain its mission to empower teens and young adults aging out of foster care. Through supportive housing, mentorship, financial literacy education, and access to essential resources, Harbor58 equips young adults with the tools and relationships they need to build stable, independent futures.

“Pickleball is a fun way to bring people together, but this event is about so much more than the game. It’s about rallying our community around young people who deserve every opportunity to succeed. Every player, sponsor, and supporter helps Harbor58 continue providing the resources and support these young adults need to build their futures.”
