Harmony Allergy & Dermatology, a family-owned medical practice founded by husband-and-wife physicians Richard Bindernagel, DO, MBA, and Constance Bindernagel, DO, MBA, is now open and accepting new patients at 5959 17th Avenue West in Bradenton’s Blake Park.
Bringing together two complementary specialties, Harmony Allergy & Dermatology provides comprehensive dermatology and allergy and immunology services for adults and children. The practice was founded on a shared vision of making specialized medical care more accessible, personal, and transparent for individuals and families throughout Manatee County and its surrounding counties.
Dr. Richard Bindernagel, board-certified in dermatology and micrographic dermatologic surgery, provides medical and pediatric dermatology, skin cancer evaluation and treatment, Mohs micrographic surgery, dermatologic surgery, and select cosmetic dermatology services. Dr. Constance Bindernagel, board-certified in pediatrics as well as allergy and immunology, provides allergy and immunology care for adults and children, including environmental and food allergy evaluation, allergy testing, oral food challenges, allergy immunotherapy, asthma management, eczema treatment and evaluation of immune system disorders.
A Different Approach to Specialized Care
Harmony Allergy & Dermatology was established to offer patients an alternative to the traditional healthcare experience, with an emphasis on direct physician access, individualized care, clear communication, and upfront pricing.
The practice accepts Original Medicare for eligible covered services and offers direct-pay care to patients outside its Medicare billing arrangements. It does not bill commercial health insurance plans or Medicare Advantage plans.
Through its direct-pay model, the practice aims to simplify the patient experience, provide clear information about fees before care is delivered, and help patients make informed decisions about their healthcare. Dr. Richard Bindernagel provides care for a wide range of dermatologic conditions, from common skin concerns to complex skin cancers requiring surgical treatment, including Mohs micrographic surgery when appropriate.
Dr. Constance Bindernagel cares for patients with a variety of allergic and immunologic conditions, including environmental and food allergies, recurrent sinus infections, asthma, medication allergies such as penicillin allergy, chronic hives, eczema, angioedema, and immune system disorders.
Together, the physicians aim to create a welcoming, family-centered environment where adults and children can access specialty expertise, understand their options, and receive care tailored to their individual needs.
