Herrig Center for the ARTS, formerly ArtCenter Manatee holds GrandOpening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On Monday March 30, Herrig Center for the ARTS CEO Carla Nierman, alongside Rob Moran, Herrig Center for the ARTS Board President, Linda Enberg, Capital  Campaign Board Chair, Steve & Natalee Herrig, Mayor Gene Brown and Brando Fetzek, cut  the ceremonial blue ribbon marking the grand opening of the newly constructed Herrig  Center for the ARTS.  

Following the ribbon cutting, guests enjoyed celebratory drinks and light appetizers in the  galleries while enjoying live music performed by The Pops. Remarks in the Bishop Parker  Plaza were made by Rob Moran, Carla Nierman, Linda Enberg, Steve Herrig and concluded  with statements from Cliff and Suzie Walters.  

“The journey to this day has been remarkable – and what a beautiful outcome it has been,”  said Carla Nierman, CEO of The Herrig. “From the very beginning, we set out with a bold  vision: to create an iconic building that would transform the landscape of downtown  Bradenton. Today, standing here together, we can proudly say that vision has been realized.  Our talented architects at Wannemacher Jensen – Hannah, Harold and Jason – brought  creativity and inspiration that far exceeded our expectations. Our dedicated partners at NDC  Construction stood by our side every step of the way, guiding us and coordinating countless  efforts to bring this extraordinary structure to life. But most importantly – you, our  champions – made this possible. Your generosity, your trust and your unwavering  commitment turned a vision into reality. Because of you, we know have a premier cultural  center that will enrich our region for generations to come. Together, we created something  truly special. To each of you here today, please accept our deepest gratitude. You are making  a profound difference, and we are so excited for all that lies ahead. We look forward to  making you proud that you chose to be part of this incredible journey.”
