The survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in the accounting profession, benefiting its economy, workforce, and businesses. The 2026 list includes 100 firms from across the United States.

To be considered, participating firms were required to be accounting firms with a facility in the United States, at least 15 employees working in the United States, and at least one year in business. Firms completed a two-part survey process that evaluated workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, demographics, and employee experience. Best Companies Group managed the registration and survey process, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings.
