NDC Family of Companies Project Named Outstanding Redevelopment Project by Florida Planning & Zoning Association
The NDC Family of Companies today announced that The Reserve at Bahia Vista received the Outstanding Redevelopment Award from the Florida Planning & Zoning Association (FPZA). The honor, presented during the FPZA’s annual awards luncheon, recognizes excellence in the reuse of a site, facility, or structure.
Located in the City of Sarasota, The Reserve at Bahia Vista transforms the long-vacant, six-acre site of the former Doctors Hospital into a luxury community that includes units reserved for workforce housing. From preconstruction through construction and into long-term asset management, The Reserve at Bahia Vista is a full application of NDC’s 360 Project Delivery℠ model, previously demonstrated on projects including Nine20 Manatee Apartments and the Plaza Del Rio office building.
“Bahia Vista is an example of what’s possible when creativity meets accountability,” said Jason Bartz, VP of Business Operations, NDC Construction. “Our role wasn’t just to build. It was to see this through on behalf of our client at every stage. We are proud of what this team built and equally proud that it brings life to a site that Sarasota has needed for a long time.”
The Reserve at Bahia Vista is now pre-leasing. The community comprises 250 apartment homes, with select units available through a workforce housing program that offers reduced rental rates for qualifying households.
NDC was joined by project partners New Roc Management, LLC, Hoyt Architects, Freedman Consulting & Development, LLC, Infrastructure Solutions Services, David W. Johnston Associates, Inc., and HR Green, Inc., whose contributions were integral to the project’s design and planning success. The Reserve at Bahia Vista is located at 2750 Bahia Vista Street in Sarasota. For more information, visit reserveatbahiavista.com or call 941.600.4426.
