LOCAL BUSINESSES RALLY AROUND PAWS FOR THE CURE AHEAD OF OCTOBER 17 FUNDRAISER IN SARASOTA
Community event at Dog Bar Sarasota will feature live music, a Dog Fashion Show, adoptable animals, raffles and broad local support for the American Cancer Society and EIO Rescue Ranch
With just days remaining before Paws for the Cure, local businesses, community partners and individual donors have rallied around the Sarasota fundraiser benefiting the American Cancer Society and EIO Rescue Ranch.
Paws for the Cure will take place Saturday, October 17, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Dog Bar Sarasota, 1314 10th Street in Sarasota. Humans attend free. Dogs are $7 unless covered by a Dog Bar membership or pass.
The evening will feature live music by Nora Ricci, a Dog Fashion Show hosted by Dolly (@dollysiggyworld), adoptable animals, a Dog Kissing Booth, raffle prizes, food, drinks and more. The Dog Fashion Show begins at 6:30 p.m. Raffle drawings begin at 7:30 p.m., and ticket holders must be present to win. If a winning ticket holder is not present when called, another ticket will be drawn for that item.
“What started as an idea to bring together two causes we care deeply about has grown because so many businesses and people in our community have stepped forward to help,” said Sissy Ramos-Marsh, event organizer. “The support has been incredible. We are excited to bring everyone together for a night that helps people impacted by cancer while also helping animals in need.”
The event is being organized by Sissy Ramos-Marsh and Jonathan Marsh together with the Home Helpers Home Care of Bradenton team. Jonathan Marsh is a 2026 American Cancer Society Men Wear Pink Ambassador, while Sissy Ramos-Marsh’s volunteer leadership has played a central role in developing the event and building community support.
Major sponsors include Home Helpers Home Care of Bradenton, Chewy VetCare, Nora Ricci, Ally E. Pet Care, Dog Bar Sarasota and BarkSuds Parish FL. Dog Bar Sarasota is also providing the event space, while Chewy VetCare is sponsoring both the Dog Fashion Show Contest and Dog Kissing Booth.
