Pineapple Kitchen Kids Brings “The Jingle Jam Cookie Mystery” to Life in a New Holiday Family Mystery Show
Pineapple Kitchen Kids is bringing its newest children’s Cooking Adventure Storybook to life this holiday season with “The Jingle Jam Cookie Mystery,” a whimsical new Holiday Family Mystery Show presented on select dates at Courtyard by Marriott University Town Center.
Written by Mike and Jenny Schenk, The Jingle Jam Cookie Mystery is part of the Pineapple Kitchen Kids Cooking Adventure Storybook series, created to inspire children and families to cook, imagine, laugh and spend meaningful time together in the kitchen.
Now, the story moves from the page to the stage in a playful interactive experience where families become part of the mystery.
The holiday series begins Saturday, November 28, immediately following Thanksgiving, with a special Family Dinner Buffet Show. Additional performances will be offered throughout December, including both brunch and dinner shows, giving families several opportunities to make the experience part of their holiday celebrations.
Unlike a traditional theater production, The Jingle Jam Cookie Mystery invites the audience directly into the story. A colorful cast of holiday characters will be portrayed by randomly selected adults and children attending the show, creating a different experience at every performance. Guests will listen for clues, interact with the characters, help unravel the mystery and discover what happened to the very special Jingle Jam Cookies.
The result is part mystery, part comedy and part family adventure — designed so children, parents and grandparents can experience the story together.
“We wanted to create something families could do together during the holidays that felt imaginative, joyful and completely different from a traditional dinner or show,” said Mike and Jenny Schenk. “The children’s books invite families into the Pineapple Kitchen world, and this show gives them the chance to actually step inside that world and become part of the adventure.”
The production continues the Pineapple Kitchen Kids philosophy that the center of the home is the kitchen — and every home can have a Pineapple Kitchen. The Cooking Adventure series combines storytelling, food, creativity and family participation, encouraging children to see cooking as something they can enjoy alongside the people they love.
The Jingle Jam Cookie Mystery expands that idea into a live holiday experience filled with laughter, audience participation and plenty of Christmas magic.
