2025-2026 Season at Sarasota Orchestras Harmony Gallery
Today Sarasota Orchestra announced six exhibitions at the Orchestra’s Harmony Gallery to take place during the 2025-2026 season, including the Orchestra’s first partnership with the Suncoast Black Arts Collaborative and a special exhibition from Booker High School featuring works by students of the school’s venerated Visual and Performing Arts program.
The Harmony Gallery features local artists showcasing their work in solo exhibitions throughout the Orchestra’s season. These juried exhibitions feature artists with mediums ranging from painting to pastels to mixed media. Twenty-five percent of all proceeds from the sale of the artwork benefit Sarasota Orchestra. The exhibits invite patrons to explore the collaboration between the visual and performing arts.

Suncoast Black Arts Collaborative seeks to foster creativity, promote artistic excellence, and bridge community. Its Arts Innovation Zones unite visionary artists and local cultural institutions in support of historically under-resourced artists. The Art Innovation Zone Exhibitions on display
at Sarasota Orchestra’s Harmony Gallery from September 28 to October 19 is a key component of this initiative while collaborating with Sarasota Orchestra provides a meaningful platform to empower artists to achieve cultural sustainability redefining the creative landscape of our county. The exhibit features paintings by Tampa-based artist Donna M. Richardson. Born in New York to Jamaican parents, Richardson is known for her “Indie Pop Art”—vivid paintings that merge Aboriginal dot painting with the interplay of positive and negative space, reflecting ancient storytelling and spiritual depth.
Tamara Doroshenko – “Color Harmonies”

Tamara Doroshenko (Mara Doró) is a Ukrainian-born experimental artist known for her vibrant, emotionally charged works shaped by synesthesia. Blending modernism with bold material experiments, she creates immersive visual landscapes. After fleeing the war in 2022, she continued her artistic journey in the Czech Republic and later the U.S., where her paintings have been exhibited in Florida galleries. A mother of six, she draws inspiration from resilience, transformation, and the power of creativity in times of upheaval. Her works are held in private collections across Europe and the U.S.
Cosette Kosiba – “Inspired Pastels”

Born and raised in Chicago, Cosette Kosiba’s artwork is a reflection of a relationship between seer and seen. Her travels through state and national parklands gave Kosiba a deep appreciation for the power of nature. After moving to Florida, she discovered new inspiration from the unique charms of the Gulf Coast. Although she has worked in many different media, Kosiba’s Harmony Gallery exhibit showcases her fondness for pastels and her delight in pure pigment, brilliant color and endless possibilities.
David Meadow – “The Human Experience”

David Meadow’s fascination with how people interact with each other and their surroundings is a constant source of inspiration. Whether on a city street, conversing in a cafe or communing with nature, the human subject sparks infinite possibilities. Meadow aims for his viewers to be emotionally drawn into his paintings, to question the motivation of the person on the canvas, weave their own story about the artwork and totally immerse themselves in the painting. Meadow has exhibited in juried shows in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida, and his artwork belongs to many private collections.
Michael Lonier – “who I am is what I see: recent diptychs”

Michael Lonier is originally from Ohio and spent 35 years as a technology executive in the magazine publishing industry in New York. He taught digital photography at FIT-SUNY and Ramapo College, NJ for ten years, and has had numerous one-person and group shows of his photographs at the University of the Arts (Philadelphia), Andover Gallery (MA), Center for Modern Art (Micanopy FL), RISD (RI), Slocumb Gallery (ETSU), Works on Paper (FIT-SUNY), Center for Contemporary Art (Cincinnati) and others. He holds a BFA in photography from the University of Notre Dame and an MFA in photography from the University of Florida where he was a graduate assistant to Jerry Uelsmann and Todd Walker.
Booker High School Student Exhibition

Booker High School, a comprehensive learning facility, is home to the Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) program, which offers rigorous, pre-professional training in the arts in five disciplines: Dance, Digital Film & Motion Design, Music, Theatre, and Visual Art. In collaboration with Sarasota Orchestra, Booker VPA visual art students will present a collection of two-dimensional artwork from various genres.
