Southwest Airlines Adds Daily Kansas City Service, Brings Back Austin Flights at SRQ

Southwest Airlines will expand travel options at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) next summer, increasing nonstop Kansas City service from once weekly to daily and bringing back Saturday nonstop flights to Austin, Texas.

The changes are part of Southwest’s summer schedule covering June 3 through August 2, 2027. Southwest last served the SRQ–Austin route in 2023.

“Daily service to Kansas City and the return of Austin give our travelers more options and make it easier for visitors to reach the Sarasota–Manatee region,” said Paul Hoback, President and CEO of Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. “We appreciate Southwest’s continued investment in SRQ and look forward to welcoming more travelers next summer.”

Southwest’s schedule also maintains twice-daily service between SRQ and both Nashville and Orlando.
