Tampa Bay Veteran Launches New Early Learning Program
Tampa Bay veteran and entrepreneur Rosa E. Rivera is officially launching Choo-Choo Learners, a new early learning program created to help preschool and kindergarten-aged children build confidence, creativity, literacy, communication skills, and school readiness through storytelling, music, movement, and hands-on learning experiences.
Designed for children ages 3–6, Choo-Choo Learners is a complete curriculum-based educational system developed by Rivera’s woman-owned company, Choo-Choo Animation Studio, based in Gibsonton, Florida.
Built around the program’s core philosophy — “Print. Press Play. Learn.” — Choo-Choo Learners was designed to give families and educators everything they need in one place without spending hours searching for materials, planning lessons, or piecing together activities from multiple sources.
Each learning package combines educational videos, printable learning materials, storybooks, original music, hands-on activities, crafts, worksheets, and guided lesson support into one connected educational experience designed for families, homeschool communities, classrooms, libraries, daycares, and learning centers.
“As a mom, creator, and educator, I know how hard it can be to find quality learning resources without spending hours planning and piecing everything together,” Rivera said. “That’s why we created Choo-Choo Learners. Our goal is simple: Print. Press Play. Learn. We want families and educators to have everything they need in one place so they can spend less time preparing and more time learning together.”
Each Choo-Choo Learners package is intentionally designed as a complete learning experience and includes a Pause & Play interactive lesson video, printable learning packets, physical and digital storybooks, original educational songs and animated music videos, worksheets, hands-on activities, arts and crafts projects, and parent and teacher guides that connect every part of the lesson together.
The educational structure behind the program was built using research-based early childhood learning principles designed to support multiple learning styles through repetition, visual storytelling, music, movement, creativity, and interactive play-based learning experiences.
Each curriculum package helps strengthen literacy development, early math readiness, communication skills, fine motor development, social-emotional growth, creativity, problem-solving, and overall kindergarten readiness.
What also makes Choo-Choo Learners unique is that the entire educational universe was independently created in-house by Choo-Choo Animation Studio. Every animated character, original song, educational book, story, worksheet, activity, and lesson resource was developed as original intellectual property specifically designed to support early childhood learning in an engaging and approachable way.
At the heart of the Choo-Choo Learners program are Monkey & Banana, original characters created by Choo-Choo Animation Studio who helped establish the studio’s growing audience through the Learning with Monkey & Banana educational series.
Over the past several years, the series has reached viewers in more than 32 countries around the world and played a major role in building the foundation of the studio’s educational content library and online community.
As Choo-Choo Learners launches, Monkey & Banana are becoming the primary faces of the educational program through the new Jungle School with Monkey & Banana series, which serves as the foundation for many of the program’s lessons, books, songs, activities, and learning packages.
Rivera says the inspiration for the program also came from conversations with parents, teachers, and homeschool educators searching for educational resources that balance developmental learning with creativity, imagination, and genuine engagement.
“Children learn best when they feel emotionally connected to what they’re learning,” Rivera said. “We wanted to create something that feels joyful, supportive, imaginative, and meaningful for children during some of their most important developmental years.”
In addition to the full learning packages available for purchase, Choo-Choo Learners also offers free classroom resources, printable educational materials, and sample learning tools for teachers, homeschool families, and community organizations.
The launch builds upon the growing success of Choo-Choo Animation Studio, which has developed an international audience through original educational content, published children’s books, and digital learning media. The studio’s YouTube channel recently surpassed 100,000 subscribers, helping establish a growing community of families, educators, and young learners around the world.
While many children’s educational brands are developed in major entertainment markets, Rivera built Choo-Choo Learners independently from Tampa Bay with a mission centered around making educational content more meaningful, imaginative, and accessible for children and families.
As Choo-Choo Learners officially launches, Rivera hopes to continue expanding partnerships with schools, libraries, educators, homeschool communities, early learning centers, and family organizations throughout Tampa Bay and beyond.
“This was built with so much heart,” Rivera said. “My hope is that children feel inspired and confident when they interact with these lessons and stories, and that families and educators feel supported knowing they have resources designed to truly help young learners grow.”
Visual assets, curriculum previews, classroom materials, educational demonstrations, interviews, and program samples are available upon request.
