Behind Every Kettle Is a Child. Behind Every Donation Is a Family.
The Salvation Army Needs 50 Bell Ringers This Christmas
As families across Manatee County continue to face rising costs for groceries, housing, utilities, and other necessities, more parents are finding it difficult to provide for their children while keeping up with everyday expenses.
This Christmas season, The Salvation Army of Manatee County is seeking 50 seasonal Bell Ringers and volunteers to support its annual Red Kettle Campaign. Funds raised stay local and help provide food assistance, utility assistance, emergency financial assistance, housing support, and other critical services for children and families throughout our community.
“Every day we meet parents who are doing everything they can to provide for their children, yet they’re still struggling to keep up with rising costs,” said Deral Pitts, Director of Community Relations & Development for The Salvation Army of Manatee County. “The need in our community is real, but so is the generosity of the people who live here. That’s why every Bell Ringer matters and why this campaign is so important.”

Applicants should bring two forms of identification. Individuals, families, businesses, churches, civic groups, and community organizations interested in volunteering are encouraged to get involved.
Just a few hours ringing a bell can help provide meals for a child, keep utilities connected for a family, assist a parent facing a financial crisis, and remind struggling neighbors that they are not alone.
Whether you’re looking for seasonal employment or a meaningful way to serve your community, The Salvation Army invites you to join this effort.
Behind every kettle is a child. Behind every donation is a family. Behind every bell is hope.
