Turning Points Receives 2026 Gold Rating for Fifth Consecutive Year from National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics

Turning Points has earned a 2026 Gold Rating from the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (NAFC) Quality Standards Program, demonstrating the organization’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, equitable, and accessible healthcare to uninsured residents of Manatee County.

The NAFC Quality Standards Program recognizes member organizations that voluntarily attest to having policies and procedures in place that meet nationally recognized quality standards. By earning the Gold Rating, Turning Points has demonstrated its commitment to delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

The National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics’ mission is to build healthy communities for all through quality, equitable, accessible healthcare. To help ensure patients receive quality care, the NAFC established a comprehensive set of Quality Standards that member organizations voluntarily adopt and maintain.

NAFC members voluntarily submit information regarding their policies and procedures and attest that they successfully incorporate these standards throughout their organizations.

The NAFC Quality Standards evaluate organizations in several key areas, including:

  • Administrative Policies
  • Clinic and Pharmacy Responsibilities
  • Credentialing and Privileging Systems
  • Patient Care
  • Risk Management Systems

Last year, Turning Points’ Health Center provided high-quality, compassionate care to 1,477 uninsured patients, resulting in 5,144 patient visits and 11,584 services. These outcomes reflect the organization’s commitment to delivering accessible, patient-centered healthcare and the high standards recognized by the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics’ Gold Rating Program.
