Waypoint Bar & Grill Celebrates Five Years with a Month-Long October Celebration
Five years of good food, live music, cold drinks, and bringing the community together calls for more than just one party. This October, Waypoint Bar & Grill is celebrating its 5th anniversary all month long with three special events leading up to a Halloween anniversary bash on October 31st. All three events are free and open to the public.
Waypoint will kick off the month of celebrations with the return of it’s popular Waypoint Artisan Market on Saturday, October 10th, from 11 am –3 pm. The first market of the season will feature local makers, live music, food, drinks, and plenty of opportunities to shop and support small businesses from the local community.
The celebration continues Saturday, October 17th, from 3–6 pm with Waypoint’s Oktoberfest. Guests can enjoy Oktoberfest beers from five local breweries, along with live music from Deep Pine. There will also be prize drawings throughout the event, adding a little extra fun to an afternoon of good beer, good music, and good company.
The month will culminate on Saturday, October 31st, from 5–8 pm, when Waypoint celebrates its official 5th anniversary with a Halloween Bash.
In keeping with Waypoint’s support of live music, this year’s theme is “Come as You Are OR Come as a Rock Star!” Whether you’re ready to dress up, channel your favorite rock star, or simply show up as yourself, everyone is invited to join the celebration.
Taking the stage will be Have Gun, Will Travel, based in Bradenton, FL who are a favorite in Tampa Bay. “We absolutely love having Have Gun, Will Travel at Waypoint,” said Tony Dodson, manager. “They’ve become such a special part of our music lineup, and every time they play, they bring an incredible energy to the place. Having them here for our fifth anniversary just feels right.”
“Five years is a pretty special milestone for us,” said Tony Dodson. “Waypoint has always been about more than just food and drinks. It’s about the people who walk through our doors, the musicians who have played our stage, the local makers and vendors who have joined us, and the community that has supported us along the way. We wanted to celebrate the whole month and give everyone a few different ways to join in the fun.”
