Island Gallery and Studios Proudly Present Their Featured Artist for July—Photo/Acrylic Artist Jim Wheeler

Jim Wheeler portrait

Title: “Color and Texture”

Dates: Monday, July 1 Wednesday, July 31, 2024

Jim Wheeler has been involved in both painting and photography for most of his life. He calls his art photo/acrylic, meaning he uses photography for a base and acrylics for both texturing and occasionally for enhancement. Doing it this way means each piece is truly unique, creating a 3-D effect where viewers can actually feel the surface and see the layers.
