New Year. New Season. New Recruits! Bradentucky Bombers Host Open Recruitment on January 29
Think roller derby isn’t for you? Think again! Bradentucky Bombers Roller Derby League is welcoming beginners and seasoned skaters for open recruitment on January 29 at the Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex from 7-9 p.m. Trainers and members of the league will be going over what to expect as a new skater, gear and time requirements, and any questions potential new members may have.
No skating experience is required; all skill levels and gender identities are welcome. This event is a no-pressure chance to learn what roller derby is all about, meet the league, and see how you can get involved—on skates or off. Those interested in skating, officiating, or volunteering are encouraged to attend. Participants must be 18 years of age. For more information, visitwww.bradentuckybombers.com
About Bradentucky Bombers
Founded in 2006 by Gigi RaMoan, the Bombers are the only skater-operated roller derby league in Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida consisting of members from Fort Myers all of the way up through Tampa. The Bombers is all-inclusive for cisgender, transgender, intersex, and gender non-conforming participants. The Bradentucky Bombers Roller Derby league is made up of skaters, referees, non-skating officials, and volunteers. We have three teams–the Bomb Squad, our WFTDA charter team that competes competitively against teams all over the country; the Nuclear Bombshells, our recreational WFTDA team who play teams that are similarly skilled; and the Fusion Bombs, our open-gender team.
