Volunteers Needed for Great American Cleanup in Manatee County

WHAT: Great American Cleanup 
WHO: Keep Manatee Beautiful with various community partners
WHEN: Saturday, March 7 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
WHERE: Multiple locations along Manatee Avenue Causeway and Perico Island
WHY: To remove litter and debris, protect local waterways, and improve community spaces

Keep Manatee Beautiful is seeking volunteers for the Great American Cleanup, a nationwide initiative focused on improving public spaces through hands-on community action. Volunteers will assist with cleanup efforts at key sites on the Manatee Ave Causeway.

Participants may choose from the following cleanup options:

• Water-based cleanup (bring your own kayak or paddlecraft)
• Beach cleanup at Kingfish Boat Ramp
• Causeway cleanup at Palma Sola Causeway
• Roadside cleanup at Neal Preserve

Volunteer check-in begins at 9:00 AM, followed by cleanup activities from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Lunch will be provided to all registered volunteers, and cleanup supplies will be available on site.
